ShopLAStyle.com was launched on April 1, 2003. The original concept behind ShopLAStyle.com was to create a site that features great Los Angeles based designers. We know that New York is considered the Fashion Capital, but we feel LA has a lot of influence on fashion as well. Some great designers such as Gorjana, Splendid and Vince are based out of LA, and we were very excited to be one of the first sites to ever carry these lines.
Okay, so we don't just carry LA designers. That's because we came across great lines such as Rebecca Taylor and Susana Monaco, (who happen to be based out of New York) and just couldn't pass them up. So, although we mainly carry Los Angeles designers we won't pass up lines that aren't LA based.
So, now we've expanded our definition of LA style...

Starting out as a small boutique line the first couple of years, AG has since become synonymous with great quality, design, and state-of-the-art washes. The ultimate goal is to create jeans with genuine vintage appeal, while maintaining a modern silhouette with authentic washes. AG's latest 'AG-ed Vintage' utilizes a revolutionary laundry technique, producing jeans that truly mimic vintage jeans that have been worn for years.
C & C California - Created by two southern California girls who loved the beaches of California, this incredible t-shirt line has become one of the most essential items in anyone's wardrobe. To achieve their goal of creating The Perfect Tee, the girls designed a super soft lightweight fabric that is great for layering and is 100% cotton. C&C California epitomizes the laid back SoCal lifestyle. They started out with a few basic styles and made them in every color imaginable. Although the collection has expanded beyond just t-shirts, C&C has continued with those classic styles and their legion of fans thank them for it! They are one of "Oprah's Favorite Things" of course.
Ella Moss - Hip. Quirky. Fashionable. These three words not only describe the Ella Moss collection, but its founder and designer, Pamella Protzel Scott. An LA girl at heart, Protzel Scott's vision and unique style have made Ella Moss one of the fashion world's hottest contemporary collections in just a few short years. Ella Moss was named after Pamella’s nickname "Ella" and Moise Emquies's (of Mo Industries) nickname, "Moss". Designed to be comfortable, fashionable and casual, but with a bit of an edge, the brand reflects the personalities of its creators.
Gorjana - Gorjana's collection was created with a vision of jewelry that can be worn from day to night on any occasion. Her design philosophy is to keep it simple, versatile, and alluring. Amazingly enough, her designs are done completely without any sketching. Each piece is made from the highest quality stones and materials, and is personally hand made.
J Brand Jeans - J Brand was co-founded by denim manufacturer Jeff Rudes and former stylist Susie Crippen. The two set out to create classic and sophisticated jeans with the emphasis on fit -- and one mandate: create timeless products. Paying careful attention to details and clean, dark finishes, together they have created a combination of sexiness, style and comfort in women's jeans.
Joe's Jeans - Joe's Jeans products are the creation of Joe Dahan, the Creative Director and founder behind the eponymous brand. Joe grew up in Casablanca, a place that fed his eyes with contrasting elements. After leaving Morocco for Los Angeles, he launched Joe's Jeans in 2001. By introducing a series of basic fits to suit every body, Joe's has garnished a cult following from a diverse group of women who have different needs when it comes to the way a jean fits. All Joe's jeans accentuate the curves in the right places for the ultimate fitting and slimming pant. Only Hearts - Only Hearts began in 1978 on Columbus Avenue in New York City. The original boutique was a tiny, outrageous temple to all things heart-shaped. In the early 80's, the young shopkeeper named Helena Stuart began designing her own line of intimate apparel – flirty and fashioned to meet a modern woman’s needs. Even with a toddler, a newborn, and a shop to run, she managed to cut and sew samples at night on her living room floor. As her own best advertisement, Helena layered bras and camisoles with vintage dresses, tee and slips, daring her customers to do the same. She innocently helped sow the seeds for a generation of downtown girls who would begin wearing lingerie as outerwear, turning popular culture inside out. For the past few years her partner has been daughter Kaya Stuart, 29. The collection is designed and manufactured in New York City. Originally from New Zealand, Taylor's designs are inspired by a handful of references from music, art, or entertainment, to vintage mod books of the 60's and 70's. Her clothing is feminine and flattering and enhances the women who wear them. Celebrities such as Cameron Diaz, Ashley Judd, and Keri Russell adore Rebecca Taylor, as we do too of course!

Their innovative approach to the denim market has been a rapid success across the U.S. and overseas.
